Sharon Tay Five time emmy award winner Sharon Tay is currently anchoring and reporting for KCBS and KCAL in Los Angeles. Sharon Tay (born October 15, 1966) is an American journalist and former host of two programs on the MSNBC network. Born in Singapore and raised in Connecticut, Sharon has a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in International Relations from Boston University. Sharon then became the anchor and producer of a weekend show. She went on to become a weekend anchor and, ultimately, an anchor for the early morning edition of the news. She then became the Weekend Anchor and ultimately Anchor for the early morning editions of the news.
