Rep. Darell Issa and Rep. Zoe Lofgren speak at a press conference organized by Public Knowledge, Demand Progress, Computer and Communications Industry Association, Americans for Job Security, Don't Censor the Net and the CEA. The press conference was held the day before the first hearing on the so-called “Stop Online Piracy Act” (HR 3261) (SOPA), which would do nothing of the sort while greatly disrupting the functionality, security, and vibrance of the internet.
